The Story so far...
Two Ten Therapy is a Counselling and Well-Being service that supports individuals, schools and organisations with counselling, supervision, training & workshops.

We are a service that has grown out of years of listening, supporting and encouraging people in a variety of community settings.  This has given us deeper understanding of how therapeutic interventions can help in different environments, and we hope to share our passion and professional skills with others to help them adapt to challenges while still achieving their goals.

We believe that great things can happen when people come together to work towards the same outcomes.  Our desire is to connect and ally with people in a way that creates a synergy; a powerful partnership whose combined outcomes are greater than what we achieve alone.

When you choose to work with us you will get all our experience and therapeutic skills underpinned by our compassion for people, which we give freely.  Our 'people matter' vision is the heart of the work we do; we value people and care about their growth and development.  Our sense of achievement is embedded in the success of those we work with so, when you win - we do too!

The roots of Two Ten are embedded in a Christian charitable history where much of our attitude and commitment has been shaped, so we wouldn’t be being completely transparent if we didn’t share with you our hopes to give back to our communities.  Although we are not a registered charity, we are always exploring ways to give back to our community, so by choosing Two Ten as your provider, you are partnering with the projects that we deliver that are focused on making therapeutic support more accessible to everyone.

WHAT IS COUNSELLING LIKE?
The simple answer is that counselling will use psychological insights to help those who feel they are struggling or stuck in a particular area of their lives. Counselling clients will usually feel some sort of emotional distress and although most will still be able to function in day-to-day life, they can often feel hindered or distracted by one or more issues.

Counselling sessions may take the time to look back at clients experiences and allow them time to process the thoughts and feelings associated with what may have happened or whatever has bought them to therapy. Counselling will also work with the hear and now experiences of clients and consider ways of moving forward that equip clients with insights and strategies that help them to carry on with their lives, less affected by what was causing their initial distress.

Counselling can also be good for people that notice certain themes or patterns about themselves and they want to explore more in a confidential environment.
